Alexander Osterwalder

Entrepreneur, Speaker and Business Theorist

Dr. Alexander (Alex) Osterwalder is one of the world’s most influential innovation experts, a leading author, entrepreneur and in-demand speaker whose work has changed the way established companies do business and how new ventures get started.

Ranked No. 4 of the Thinkers50 list of the most influential management thinkers worldwide, Osterwalder is known for simplifying the strategy development process and turning complex concepts into digestible visual models. He invented the Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas, and Business Portfolio Map – practical tools that are trusted by millions of business practitioners from leading global companies.

Strategyzer, Osterwalder’s company, provides online courses, applications, and technology-enabled services to help organizations effectively and systematically manage strategy, growth, and transformation.

His books include the international bestseller Business Model Generation, Value Proposition Design: How to Create Products and Services Customers Want, Testing Business Ideas and The Invincible Company, to publish in spring 2020.

Author, Speaker, Advisor

Tendayi Viki is an author and innovation consultant. He holds a PhD in Psychology and an MBA. As Associate Partner at Strategyzer, he helps large organizations innovate for the future while managing their core business. He has given keynotes, run workshops and worked as a consultant for several large organizations including Rabobank, American Express, Standard Bank, Unilever, Airbus, Pearson, Lufthansa-Airplus, The British Museum, Copenhagen Fintech and The Royal Academy of Engineers.

Tendayi co-designed Pearson’s Product Lifecycle which is an innovation framework that won the Best Innovation Program 2015 at the Corporate Entrepreneur Awards in New York. He has been shortlisted for the Thinkers50 Innovation Award and was named on the Thinkers50 2018 Radar List for emerging management thinkers to watch.

Tendayi has written two books based on research and consulting experience, The Corporate Startup and The Lean Product Lifecycle. The Corporate Startup was awarded the 2018 CMI Management Book Of The Year In Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is currently working on another two books, Right Question, Right Time and Pirates in The Navy. He is also a regular contributing writer for Forbes.

Tendayi spent over 12 years in academia during which time he taught at the University of Kent where he is now Honorary Senior Lecturer. He has also been a Research Fellow at Stanford University and Research Assistant at Harvard University.

David Bland

David Bland

Founder & CEO of Precoil, Author and Advisor

David J Bland is an author and founder based in Silicon Valley. In 2015, he founded Precoil to help companies find product market fit using lean startup, design thinking and business model innovation.

David has helped validate new products and services at companies such as GE, Toyota, Adobe, HP and Behr.

David is the co-author of Testing Business Ideas, a Wiley business book with Alexander Osterwalder.

Prior to advising, David spent over 10 years of his career scaling technology startups. He continues to give back to the startup community by teaching at several accelerators in Silicon Valley.

We collect votes for specific cities in which you would like us to deliver a Masterclass. At the end of each season we review the votes and, based on your level of interest, we select a new city.

A 50% refund will be granted to cancelations up to two weeks before the event. Once we are two weeks out from the first day of the event, there will be no refunds granted and 100% of the ticket price must be paid.

It is possible to change the participant information to allow a replacement to attend the event in your place.

Switching tickets to different event dates or cities is not permitted.
