Building An Innovation Culture

Released: April 14, 2022    Length: 53 min

Overview

Your job as a leader is to create an environment where people feel safe enough to be able to share ideas, try things out and make mistakes. Over the long term, that’s how innovation will flourish. So how do you make it happen in your organization? How do you build an innovation culture?

Those are questions we’ll address with Garry Ridge on the next StratChat Show.

Garry is CEO of WD-40 Company and he knows how important it is to get culture right when trying to scale an organization. He strongly believes culture has been pivotal to the growth of the company.

Since he took over in 1997, the share price of his business has multiplied nine times. Not only that, the market cap has gone from $250 million to $2.9 billion. They now also operate in 176 countries and have a growing collection of new brands and products.

Join Alex Osterwalder (author of The Invincible Company),  Nick Himowicz (Host of StratChat) and special guest Garry Ridge (CEO, WD-40 Company) on 14th April.

We’ll use the culture map to break down exactly how Garry drove cultural transformation at WD-40 Company. We’ll spend some time reflecting on how we can apply these principles ourselves. As usual, we’ll also have some fun exploring what’s hot or not in the worlds of leadership and innovation.
